Welcome!
Club Open on Thursdays
We meet on Thursday evenings at Kasavuori school in Kauniainen, from 18:00 onwards. Our doors are always open to anyone interested in the club. If you want to visit or join the club, don’t hesitate to contact us.
The Cafe webcam provides a near-realtime view of the club.
New club premises
KRK has reached a negotiated solution with the city regarding new premises. KRK will be provided with new premises in the future school building (2029-). According to current information, the radio room and lab will be located in the actual premises of the school and will be used constantly by the club, and in addition to these, a coffee room will be built for the shelter (which will be emptied when necessary). In return, the club will offer its expertise to the city to build a backup communication solution and offer to organize an amateur radio course for high school students.
During the demolition and construction work of the school, the club’s radio and construction operations will be transferred to the Helsinki Hacklab in Sockenbakki. In addition, a radio station located in a container at the top of the ski slope will be operated remotely. DigiLab’s premises in central Kauniainen are also available for meetings, the details are still under discussion.
We will inform about matters related to the move, such as bee (“talkoot” in Finnish), in regular member letters, by email and through Telegram groups.
Check your phone number in the registry
We are developing the club’s communication and general contact with members. It’s important that everyone has an up-to-date mobile phone number in the member registry, because especially in situations where your email address is no longer working, we will try to reach you by SMS. Check your own details and add your number if it’s missing.
